Potassium silicate:

Chinese name: 硅酸钾

English name: Potassium silicate

Molecular formula: K.0.nSi0

Appearance: Colorless and transparent liquid

CAS number: 1312-76-1

Relative density: 1.2-1.3 (200 ℃)

Product Introduction:

Liquid potassium silicate is a colorless or slightly yellow semi transparent to transparent viscous liquid with strong alkaline reactions. Decompose in acid and precipitate silica. Potassium silicate is commonly used in the manufacture of welding electrodes, welding electrodes, reducing dyes, and fire retardants. Also used as a coating layer for fluorescent screens and as a soap filler.

Main purpose:

Concrete sealing curing agent, waterproof coating, powder coating, wear-resistant material, protective coating (to prevent "frosting" or salt surface crystallization), catalyst, adhesive, used as a descaling agent in the manufacturing of glass and ceramics. Reductive dyes, fire retardants, welding electrode adhesives, and inorganic coating adhesives can also be used in the production of soap, medicine, refractory materials, etc.

Security:

Packaged in polyethylene plastic drums. Each barrel weighs 25 kg, 250 kg, and 1200 kg. It should be stored in a well ventilated and cool warehouse, and avoid direct sunlight during transportation. In winter, it should be protected from freezing and stored at 5-40 ℃. If used and stored according to specifications, it will not decompose, there are no known dangerous reactions, and oxidation and acid should be avoided. Easy to dissolve in water and acid, and release gelatinous silicic acid. The higher the potassium content, the easier it is to dissolve. Insoluble in alcohol. When a fire breaks out, water and various fire extinguishers can be used to extinguish it.
